Tiddly Tuesday - New Images, New Freebie, and New Challenge

Hi guys, the weather has been in the news a lot lately in the US, what with Hurricane Irene, so I hope everyone that lived through it is okay and there is minimal damage. I also hope it is getting close to Fall weather somewhere near you...around here it is still 100 degrees and we desperately need some rain. Gotta love that Texas heat....or not.

This week we have some new Minnies. Even though it is super hot, I am feeling Christmas-y, so meet:

We have a new challenge too. We want you to create a project that is reading inspired...and this is pretty widely interpreted by the Tiddly Inkers. Check out their inspiration HERE.

I wanted to make something pretty, so my project used Type Me Some Flowery Wishes and I made this wooden block (about 5x5 inches) using just the flower part----since reading makes you grow. :)

Our freebie this week is an image of an open book, by request. :) Go HERE to download it this week...after that it will be moved to the PCP forum HERE.  Some older freebies are there already...but you must be a member, so if you aren't yet, just ask to join.

Tiddly Tuesday - New Images, New Freebie, and New Challenge

Happy Tiddly Tuesday everyone. :) Here are a couple of new images for your Tiddly collection. :)

I am having so much fun drawing Victorian images...love the outfits. hehe

So meet Will You? - Victorian Couple

and meet Dandy-lion Pixie.

Our new challenge this week is to make a bookmark and I made a funky little bookmark out of Shrinky Dinks using the new Dandy-lion Pixie image. Just google Shrinky Dinks and you will find all sorts of lovely ways to use this fun plastic paper...you can purchase printable Shrinky Dinks now and that is what I did here...I colored it in my computer, printed it, cut it out, and then shrunk it. I printed it at about 8 inches and it shrunk to about 2 inches....Then I added some cord and beads to finish it off.

The bookmark was made to be attached to my daughter's backpack so I also made her a "have a great day" card to match so she could open it at lunch on the first day of school.

I like it so much, this little printable card is our freebie this week....just click HERE to get the mini card to print out.  It will have a fully colored front and back as shown below. It will be deleted in a week and moved to the PCP group HERE.

Tiddly Tuesday - New Images, New Freebie, New Challenge

Hi everyone, we have another delightful Tuesday today....I just love Tuesdays!

This week our challenge was to create something inspired by Inchie Arts....so something small scale and probably around 1 or 2 inches.... Our challenge is filled with some delightful projects. We have amazing cards by our featured artist Krista and our guest designer Lucianna and then we have a new Tiddly Inker, Emma, who is actually a returning designer whom we are thrilled to have back. :) Emma makes the most delightful felt flowers that you can find in her shop, Sew Sweet.

A side note...if you have time to donate a card, please check out my teamie Meredith's post HERE....she is asking for cards for her family friend, Ryan, who was seriously injured in an attack and his family is asking for encouraging cards to lift his spirits.

I made two projects. The first uses part of the new set in the shop, Doodle My Heart (it has a paper and then lots of little printables for cutting and pasting).

I just used parts of it to create these little cards, 3x3 inches with 2x2 inch squares on them. The hearts were just scattered around as accents. The paper is recycled antique white paper and I just doodled using my Copics until I had several different cards...I actually made 4, but I am just showing you 2. :)

My second project is a freebie for you today....I used some 2-inch round tins (I have had them for years---I think they are from Oriental Trading Company), filled them with a tiny bag of MnMs and labelled them Teacher First Aid Kit. The sentiment says, "Take one as needed, conserve for Friday!" I have to give credit to my hubby for this humorous take on it...I was just going to make a smiley face...I like his idea much better. :)

Vamp Me - New Vampire Images

So, I finally got a chance to load the new images in the shop....I was going to wait until next week, but I really like them, so why wait??? LOL

These are definitely not geared to everyone, but I have been reading vampire novels since Anne Rice's series and way before they were cool with Twilight era fans, thus, I had to create some vampires....so meet my new gothicy pairs and their extra goodies.  Yes, I am a fan of the True Blood books too, but these are not intended to be any specific characters from books or elsewhere...just some campy vamps. LOL

Tiddly Tuesday - New Freebie, and New Challenge

Hi everyone....welcome back to Tuesday!  :) I swear I don't know where time is going, but it is skipping my house. LOL I hope it is slower at your house, but I imagine it is not.....hehe

I do have some new images created this week, but I haven't had time to actually load them, so they will be out next week....but while you wait why not find one of the oldies but goodies HERE or HERE or HERE?? It can be fun to re-discover a previously missed image. :)

However, I do have a delightful freebie that is related to our challenge (Thank You Teacher) for this week. It is my old vintagey looking school house and you can find and download it  HERE.

Ducky Thoughts - Wanna Help think of some Sentiments??

Hi everyone....

I have had some fun today redoing a really old image. 

This is one of the first images I drew when I started this journey of illustrating and doodling after my daughter was born 7 years ago. I am so glad I kept it on file so I can see the difference between where I am and where I started. I think this is a great lesson for life in general. You may feel like nothing is changing, but it probably is....big grin.

Because this is how I redid it today.... I quickly colored the line image using Photoshop, but I like this one so much better...hehe

When I first drew this image I was thinking of a sentiment that said, "It is nice to have a friend like you, " but I can use some help thinking of new ducky sentiments....Got any stupdendous ideas for ducky sentiments that you feel like jotting down in the comments??? :)

I am thinking I will draw more ducks like this, so leave me any suggestions for duck images too....

Tiddly Tuesday - New Wizard and Victorian Images, New Freebie, and New Challenge

Hi everyone..let's get to all the new stuff as there is quite a bit this week. Yay for new stuff!! :) I got all happy with my pen and tablet this week. LOL

Winners from the Steampunk release and show off challenge are coming tomorrow. :)

Remember the suitcases from last week? Well I decided to make them a permanent freebie...HERE.

I also created a new little chickie to go with them. She has 2 versions: sitting on some suitcases and then alone....You can see both versions of Aida HERE.

And I thought we definitely needed a new little wizard (he comes with and without glasses) to match Wizardette...I think all of them would make a great back to school card montage with the suitcases...hint! If you make a project with all of them, please share it with me. :)

Our challenge this week is to create a gel card (maybe with a summer or ocean focus?), so I created the new bottle so that I could use this in the challenge, but it didn't turn out as well as I wanted....oh, well, maybe next time....LOL

This bottle idea came into being this weekend when my daughter was trying to learn to ride her bike and was terrified. Nothing happened, but she was sooooo scared the first day. When we were going to bed that night, we had a deep conversation regarding her "scaredness" and "braveness" and somehow got around to bottling up braveness so that she could borrow some---which she informed me probably would not work as "her scaredness would always be bigger than her braveness" so she was "never - ever going to ride her bike again----I mean it!!!!" Until the next day when she had a blast. LOL

But that first night, I decided I would make her a blue bottle of braveness, so that resulted in our freebie this week. Should you need to bottle up something, be it braveness or love or joy.....maybe this will work for you. :)
