Inspirational Friday

So I was shopping on Etsy today (when I was supposed to be working...shushhhhh LOL) and found some goodies that I thought I would share:

Go take a peek at BConnorDesigns. :) Her colors are amazing and she has the best characters--the steampunk horse is gorgeousss!
Here is another artist I was wowed by, Kecky...
I could never paint like this, so I admire it when I see it.
Gorgeous ceramic jewelry and goodies, Azulado
I want these dresses--when I lose about 20 pounds and get 20 years younger! LOL
More amazing jewelry by Mango Tango
Amazing hand made art dolls by CooperDolls

And now that I have enjoyed my hour of nothingness but joyful inspiration, I hope you get to do the same sometime today. It is Friday...go be joyful.

Oh, and don't forget to stop by our own Tiddly Inks spot of inspiration on the Challenge Blog. :)

Happy, happy, joy, joy! :)

A Mini Inspirational Hop, a Winner, Some Fellow Artists, and a Freebie

I am constantly amazed and how much fun I have doing this "job". Even though it feels like it never ends---emails come in at all hours of the day and night; I always have something new to draw; changes to make in the shop; or a new and better idea pops up. :)---I love being an artist. :)

However, as much as I love drawing and doodling, one of the best side perks of running my own little art kingdom (in which I fully intend to stay Queen of Everything :D) is the people I get to "meet." Some I have never seen or actually spoken to, but they are my friends nonetheless. I have met some amazing artists and crafters and just love their attitudes and creativity.

So today, I thought I would share some of those friends...spread the love and make my own little blog hop of inspiration. LOL Take a peek at some of those people who inspire me and make creating art so much more meaningful:

This is a link to the sweet artists who created samples of cards for my shop. I haven't had a chance to add many samples to the shop yet. I came up with a change to the shop inspired by trying to efficiently add more samples, so I am working on adding samples slowly. :)
Thanks so much for sharing those samples though. If you submitted cards for samples, as promised, I picked a random winner from these entries:
Jane Kyle---please email me for your prize :)

I have had the recent pleasure of getting to know Zoe, the artist and owner from Make It Crafty. This is a card that Mary made by combining Zoe's background with my digi characters.
Pretty good match, huh? And the card is simply stunning! Zoe has tons of other backgrounds and amazing images and I just thought I would enable you---go take a peek at her shop. :)

I put out a recent call for birthday cards for my old college buddy and here are 2 new photos that were emailed to me. :) Thanks to everyone who has offered to help out with my project. :) I haven't seen all the projects, but I can't wait to see them all together. :) I did contact everyone on my list, but a few email addys had permanent flaws or didn't go through. If you signed up but didn't hear from me, reconfirm your addy for me in the next few days and I will try again.

We have a great challenge this week....Shake It Up with a shaker card. Did you see the AMAZING samples the DT made??...omg...amazing!
Here are two:
Lynne's adorable the Hoppy Wishes bunny!
 Kiara's card, using My Dear!

Have you checked out some of the amazing links on our tutorial pageMeredith has a tutorial for us on making the shaker cards this week using Love Bomb.

And now we have an adorable freebie drawn by Tiddly Inker Tracy's hubby...a talented artist and woodcrafter. :) She wanted to share it with you all, so download it by clicking on the picture. Be sure to stop by and says thanks to Tracy. :)
Have a great day! :)

Be sure to check the Challenge blog on Friday. :)

Birthday Invites

My daughter is about to turn the ripe old age of 7 and I can't believe it. I don't feel any older than 20 (I just look it LOL) and she doesn't feel any older than newborn to me. :)

Every year when her birthday rolls around (quicker it seems than it did the year before), I marvel at her birth and how much I love her. No one inspires such a love of life and joyful spirit----and then there is her amazing ability to madden me with her stubbornness (wonder where she got that??? LOL). All in all, she is one of the main reasons I do what I do and continue to find a reason to rejoice in the beauty and amazing life we live. Her love is humbling and a gift I treasure every day.

As one way to show her that, I have always made a special birthday invitation. She loves rainbows and spectacular color combinations and, of course, unicorns so this is her birthday party invite for this year. I hope the weather holds out and it is as magical as she dreams. :)

Need Some Volunteers

EDIT: I am closing the links in the next little bit, but I will use everyone who signed up and emailed me. Thanks so much for being so responsive to my request. :) I feel so amazed that it only took one day...thanks so much. :)

Hi everybody,
I have a special request. I have a good friend of many years who has a birthday approaching---a big one. I unfortunately am not going to be able to see her for her birthday so I have been thinking of something sweet to do for her to let her know she is loved.

I need at least 40 people (since she is turning 40---don't tell anyone LOL) to help me make cards to send to her. What I wanted to do was have you sign up in advance (using the inklinkz below) and once I get enough volunteers, I will email you all at least 2, maybe 3, digital stamps for you to use to make her a card. You pick the image you want to use for her card, but you get to keep all the images for helping me with a good deed. :) You will mail the card to me and I will make her a "present" of all of our good wishes for her. All the information will come to you in my email with the digis. :) So if you want to help me out and make a card for a lovely old friend of mine, please sign up and then wait for me to email  you with the digis....at least 1 will be new---I haven't drawn it yet, but I know what I want to draw. LOL. :)

I need volunteers by the end of next week and the card needs to be made and mailed to me by March 5. If you are worried about your coloring or not sure if it will be perfect....don't! This is just for fun and just to share some happy thoughts with the world and lovely person. Quality is not as important as the love that goes into the wish. :) So if you have the time and don't mind swapping said time for some digis and a chance to make someone smile, please sign up and help me make my friend's day.

A very merry unbirthday to us all. LOL

Work In Progress Doodles

I draw something just about every day and I have all the scraps of paper to prove it---usually scattered all over the place and in my purse. LOL A few weeks ago, I tried a different approach and made some doodles...you know, for adding to digital paper or as texture to art pieces, but I never really did much with them. Now, I do have a point....doodle on down. :)
I pulled the doodles back out last week and tried this colored piece for my portfolio. :)
And then this week, I discovered a new blog that led me to look at doodles as their own form of art. The blogger, Stephanie, has beautiful doodles/word art/crafty goodness. I doodle all the time, but I never really considered them to be terribly artistic in their own right until I saw what Stephanie did on Home Grown. :) She teaches a class on doodling....check it out as her deadline is approaching. :) She offers several RAK sentiments on her blog too. :)

Now, I fully intend to do more doodling---it is easy, cheap therapy and lovely art when done right! :) Doodle on!

If you have time, check out the challenge blog for our Fabulous Friday inspiration. :)

Sneak Peek

I have been working on several things for other people. Here is a sneak peek of two:

One of them is a logo lady for a blogger and web designer. I will show you the full thing later once she has it posted. I painted it in Photoshop and it is a bit different than what I normally do, but I might do more like this....I love how it turned out.

Another was a blog header for my sweet friend, Danni.
This was also painted and drawn in Photoshop.
Very simple, but cute I think. LOL
Have a wonderful day! :)

Tiddly Tuesday - New Images and a Freebie

Happy Tuesday! :)
It is a brand new week and thus we have a few new images and a freebie---a surprise freebie. :)
I combined several sewing digis into two sets with colored notecards and digis in a set.
Each set comes with some extras...in the zip files, you will also find these stripey papers and some surprises. Who doesn't like surprises??? :)
If you are into sewing, feel free to create some projects with these images. :)

I didn't create a freebie this week, but we have one to share nonetheless. :)
One of our design team members, Kiara, created an adorable image for you this week. How fun is this??  I was actually considering asking for guest art designers, so if you think that would be a fun idea or have some ideas to submit, let me know in the comments.

You can find LoveBunny created by Kiara in the PCP group
If you aren't a member, you can ask to join.
Also, if you are interested in a cute valentine's sentiment, you can find one on Femke's blog.  She is so clever with creating word art. :)

Our challenge this week is filled with super cute examples and ideas---Love is in the Air!!
We are asking you to create a valentine's gift or card.
I hope you get a chance to join in by clicking HERE.

Sassy Sample Saturday

Every Friday, Melissa is going to be posting some inspirational cards. Each week she picks some from the Tiddly Inkers DT and then she is adding some random choices from other lovely artisans who are using Tiddly Inks images. :)  Check out who is up there this week HERE. :)

Last week, I asked for some samples for the shop and I thought I would share some of those with you. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with me. :)

Have fun browsing all the amazing samples below. Some of these have already been added to the shop as examples, others I am working on adding. If you would like to link more samples for me to choose from for using in the shop listing, you can link it HERE.

SALE on RETIRING images

Happy Friday. We are out of school today due to weather, something that never happens here, so here is a little celebratory sale. I created a new section in the shop for images that are going to be removed soon...early retirement so to speak and they are all marked down %50. If you are stuck at home (and have power---here's hoping you do :D), take a peek at the RETIRING SOON section.

Here are a few images that are included:

New DT! Welcome
