Hope to Cling To

I always enjoy the time I spend browsing through Splitcoaststampers. One of the members (and Dirty Dozen designers) Dawn B has really amazed me with her incredble creations and generous spirit. She really makes each of our email chats a pleasure. :)

She is hosting the Hope to Cling to Challenge, so I wanted to share that information with you. You can find out more information on her blog. This is the card she created in honor the challenge and her mom, a hospice provider.

Simply Betty Collides with Tiddly Inks Blog Hop

Welcome to the collision of Tiddly Inks and Simply Betty Stamps. :) One fun, fun, fun blog hop and crash 'em up! Betty (of Simply Betty Stamps) and I are big Halloween fans, so naturally we had to put together a fun Trick or Treat Blog Hop....Boo!

How to Participate: Post your creation (which I hope you already created) on your personal blog today between 12:00 PM CST (noon) and 5:55 PM CST. The title of your post should be "Trick or Treating with Tiddly Inks and Simply Betty Stamps." If possible, your post is to include a Trick (a technique) or a Treat (a gorgeous card :D).

Once your blog post is completed, visit the Simply Betty Stamps blog and link your exact URL in the Inlinkz list at the bottom of the her post in order to be qualified for the prizes. There is no need to sign up in advance, but the Inlinkz list will close at 6:00 PM CST. Then we hop, Halloween style, from the Simply Betty Stamps blog. If you don't plan to enter a card, still come along and comment. :) Everyone would appreciate it and you might get super inspired---or spooked. :)

Prizes: Two blogger participant winners will be announced November 5 and highlighted on the hosting blogs, Tiddly Inks and Simply Betty Stamps. Both winners will receive a $10 gift voucher from Tiddly Inks and some digital images of her choice from Simply Betty Stamps.

 I have to say that Betty's digital images are simply fantastic...the quality is great and the details are amazing. :) I had so much fun creating this little she-devil.

Blog Hop Tomorrow

New Fun Toy

I so love all the features of my iphone, but my sister turned me onto this camera app, Hipstamatic...So I have just been playing when I should be working. LOL How fun would this be to make backgrounds out of??? LOL The camera app turns the photos into old looking photos....love it! :)

Spin Me Right Round, Baby and a Freebie! :)

Happy Tiddly Tuesday! :) This week our Tiddly Inks challenge is to create a spinner card using a Tiddly Inks image, so I got a bit more dizzy than usual. LOL
This is my first card with a spinning element and I had a ton of fun figuring it out. My star spins in place, so that is a bit hard to show in a picture. :)

I used Starr Bugg from the shop and the star is made from a chipboard star that I covered with paper and colored. I then punched a hole through my paper and mounted the star on a set of two sandwiched pennies that allows it to spin in place. 

This is the tutorial I adapted to make it work. :) 

Our freebie this week is a set of papers. You can download it from the shop or the PCP group if you are a member. It is a big one though...about 9 MB, so be prepared to unzip it for a while if you don't have DSL. The set has 6 different star backgrounds, all sized 5x5 inches.

Treat Boxes, New Images and Freebie, plus the Winner of Ellie

Happy Tuesday everyone. :) 
Our challenge this week is to create a Tiddly Inks treat bag or box and there are so many cute examples on the Challenge blog that I can't stand it. LOL Pop on over and see them. 
I made these today using some new images---Love Hurts and Harmony at Home

The new stamps and papers were developed as grungy accents and although they aren't cute characters, I can envision lots of ways to use them. :)
I love to paint paper machie boxes and had a ton of fun decoupaging and distressing these today. After I wrapped them up in paper, painted, distressed, added the new stamps and papers (then distressed some more), I filled them with my other favorite thing----chocolate! LOL

Our freebie this week is the music border that I used around the top of the Harmony box. :)

Tiddly Inks in Rubber??? YUP!

Well, if you are a fan of Stamping Bella, you need to go see what she released today....
I am going to have to eat some of my earlier words because Emily has released 3 of my digis in rubber...LOL This is one of mine that is not a digi, but I love it.

 There are also some super, duper cute Mo digis in rubber too...omg, so cute! Look at the froggie on his pocket...LOL

Blog Hop coming up/Freebie

Hello everybody!!! :)  Happy Monday, right? LOL


Well, it was a very relaxing weekend around here. We went to the library on Saturday and I checked out and read several books---something I don't get to do often. I love to get transported away for a bit, ignore the dishes, and just veg. 


I also got a chance to do something else I rarely do and that was color another artist's work. LOL My dear friend and DT member Betty has her own shop of gruesome and cutely gothic digital/rubber stamps and we are having a joint blog hop on Oct 29, so I tried out several of her images (they are so well done) and made some cards....it was so much fun. :) 

Here is my first card using a Simply Betty Stamps image.
